This is my new website in which I am making photography, books, and travel blogs available to enjoy or buy. I also give talks to groups and am half of a folk duo, when I’m not initiating environmental campaigns.

Welcome to the world of Doug Kennedy, where rivers flow, landscapes breathe, and music carries a story. Based in Cuddington, in Buckinghamshire, UK, I am a writer, photographer, speaker, and musician with a lifelong passion for nature and the environment.

What’s happening in June 2026?
- My main event this month is my 10 Day Adventure from June 14th to 24th which, this time, will be in Montenegro. I have flights booked to and from Podgorica and my first night in Cetinje, but apart from that, it”s and adventure! As usual, I’ll be writing a blog about what I’ve seen and my experiences. Last year I was in The Basque Country, and in 2024 in Transylvania.
- Recent talks on Transylvania and Namibia have gone down very well with the audiences. The landscape imagery in the Namibia talk is breathtaking, and some Romanians at the Transylvania talk said that I really gave a true picture – I understood it.
- The next Jamie & Doug’s Folk Night will be on July 10th – there isn’t one in June as I’m away and Jamie is on call.
- I have lots of beautiful landscape and wildlife photographs that can make interesting and lovely wall art. If you would like to buy a print, picture, or greeting cards made from any of my images, you can see a selection on the Photography page, and then just email me. Also, if you are interested in anything in particular, I may have an image or two that would fit the bill.

Doug has had a series of beautiful books on English landscapes and wildlife published, the latest of which is Wildlife Of The Pennine Hills.

Talks
Doug gives talks to groups about landscape, wildlife, and English rivers. These normally have a small fee, but can be free of charge for environmental conservation groups
